A stunning Hampshire wedding venue – New Place Hotel

There are some venues that feel like a privilege every single time you return—and this was exactly one of those weddings.

Jo and Tony’s celebration at New Place Hotel took place on a crisp yet beautifully sunny March day. After weeks of winter tones, spring had finally arrived in full force—daffodils were in bloom, the skies were clear blue, and the Grade I listed manor house looked stunning against the soft seasonal light.

I’ve photographed at this Hampshire wedding venue many times before, but it never loses its magic. Every wedding feels completely unique here, and Jo and Tony’s day was no exception.

Getting ready moments & storytelling details

One of the things I love most about weddings here is the flow of the day. The separate mews buildings provide modern, light-filled accommodation, making them ideal for relaxed, natural bridal prep and groom preparations.

There’s space to breathe, to laugh, to gather those exciting bridal preparation moments that often become the most meaningful photographs of the day.

Jo’s bridal preparations were filled with calm excitement, while Tony was supported by his meticulous best man and two sons.

Moments like this are always part of the story.

A beautiful ceremony in the historic manor house

The ceremony room at New Place Hotel is one I always enjoy photographing. As a photographer, I’m drawn to spaces where the light does the work — and this room has exactly that.

Tall historic windows run along one side, bringing in soft directional light that falls across the ceremony space and lifts the colours of the room without flattening them.

Jo walked into that light framed by cream and blush flowers, surrounded by family and friends watching her come down the aisle.

Why I love photographing weddings at New Place Hotel

Rooms like the ceremony space, where the windows shape everything without overpowering it, make a big difference to how a wedding feels to photograph.

Combined with the grounds, the architecture, and the flow of the venue, it always gives a full story from morning through to portraits
