Every life is a story. Every story has chapters. The question is: which one are you in right now?

As a photographer in Portsmouth, I’ve always seen my work as more than just taking pictures. To me, photography is about capturing the chapters that shape us — just like in a book. We move through firsts, milestones, turning points, and defining moments. Some say there are five or six acts in a lifetime. Wherever you find yourself, there are moments that shape you and the people around you.

Storytelling Through Photography

Portsmouth and Southsea Photographer

For the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of telling people’s stories through my lens. Each shoot is a chapter, a chance to freeze time and create a legacy.

  • Brand stories – from the spark of a new business to a bold relaunch, capturing the personality and vision behind the work.

  • Love stories – from dating profiles (yes, I’ve played Cilla Black at times, if Cilla had also been a photographer! 😀) to engagements, weddings, and anniversaries.

  • Family stories – the natural progression of life: a baby bump, a newborn, growing families, and the milestones that follow.

These are the chapters that connect us all, and photography gives them a place to live on.

Why Chapters Matter

Moments pass quickly, but photographs hold them in place. They become anchors in your story — reminders of who you were, what you achieved, and the people who stood beside you. That’s why I see photography as storytelling through a lens. It’s about more than images; it’s about legacy.

What Chapter Are You In?

Whether you’re building a business, celebrating love, or welcoming a new addition to your family, your chapter deserves to be captured.

What drives me is simple: people, chapters, and legacy.

So… what chapter are you in right now? I’d love to help you capture it.
